The Spring Rehabilitation programme is built around group activities and interactions. For many years it has been accepted that social support is a key factor which helps determine an individual's level of physical and mental health. The use of group therapy is important in the treatment of many conditions.

The group structure and mutual effort and support from within the group are fundamental to Spring's philosophy. In addition the partnership between client and treatment team encourages and motivates them to try their hardest within the bounds of clinical safety, giving clients the confidence to share responsibility for their recovery.

At the heart of this group approach is the importance of the active support of each individual. Towards the end of the programme critical elements of how the individual might progress are identified and agreed.
The aim of the Spring programme is to break the cycle of dependency; to enhance each client's self confidence and understanding of their clinical problems, enabling them to control the management of their condition.
